We made a brief visit to the Casino in Bettendorf after rising Wednesday morning. I broke even but Den made a few bucks (we can now eat). A bit down I35 we stopped at the Dinner Bell. The soup was home made and the roast beef sandwich was cut from roast beef, two slices 1/4 inch thick with fresh lettuce and tomato on rye. A man's lunch. My cousin had other fare, it was OK. The tee shirt with their logo was only 10 bucks.
The Isle of Capri casinos has one in KC MO. We drove in and parked on an under floor of the garage o keep out of the sun. In Missouri it is illegal to lose more than $500 in two hours so everybody is tracked. No worry with us. I sat at a combination 3 card poker black jack table. after the initial dip in funds I came back to winning half my initial stake, we get to eat dinner. There were so few tables we decided to push west. Found a convenient Motel 8, then the search for a place to dine. A biker bar offered cold pints for $2 and a steak with potato for $10 did the trick.
We returned to the motel where Den read and I debated going to the pool.
