After the long trek through NJ, PA, NY, ON, MI, IN and into IL we are regrouping in Buffalo Grove with Glen and Kathy. Mel and I dropped in on Aunt Eileen and Mike at their new Villa Park digs yesterday. Among other things we tapped Mike's intimate knowledge of the Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa area to get some direction for our next leg of the trip.
We will be visiting here until Tuesday morning when we leave and go to Benton Wisconsin and Davenport IA on Tuesday, Kansas City on Wednesday and then start a two day trip to Denver to be there on Friday just in time for Mark's birthday on Saturday.
We have decided to forego Vegas this road trip in lieu of the Gulf coast. Since we travelled to Vegas after 9/11 when no one else was; it seems appropriate to go to LA and MS now in the post Katrina era. I will miss the 120 degree weather in Nevada though.
